Good News
We slept overnight at the dog check in at Eurotunnel and went to the desk at 10am expecting a 'Yes you can travel but that will be an extra €100 please'. However, it must have been my best 'puppy dog eyes' which swung it and we departed France at 11.20am at no extra charge - result!! We travelled up to Suffolk for a night with Richard, Claire, Jonathan, Catherine and Ellie. Ellie and I kicked off a bit with each other but apart from that minor skirmish it was great to be back. This afternoon will see us back at Carlisle, providing we have no hiccups en route so that means the end of the blog.

Sunday, England here we come!
It was sad leaving all the kids in Nantes but we have to head back sometime.
With 420 miles to go the plan was just to see how the day panned out as our crossing wasn't until 1.20am TUESDAY morning. However, the plan was that if we arrived early we could get an earlier crossing, like Monday in the early hours, then we could call on Rachel's bro's family on our way back.
Things were going very well until we reached Rouen. At the best of times it's a 'mare to get through but this time the bridge over The Seine which the satnav was sending us over was shut. You know things are getting personal when Rachel goes off on one with the satnav and says 'SHE' should've known that!! Oooooo, the claws were out! Anyway, with Bri's excellent navigation skills (WHO is writing this blog?) we managed to see some of the old quarters of the city. It was beautiful but I don't think the locals sitting at the pavement cafes quite expected something so big to come down the narrow streets!
Arrived at Eurotunnel at 10pm to be told there had been a train breakdown and we couldn't cross until our allotted time unless we paid an extra €100, no chance!! The visit to Richard looks off :-/
Saturday :-)
Despite not being invited to the evening meal (& drinks) in Nantes, we had a great day :-). Amy was at work but had a 2 hour lunch break so we all met her and went to CRAPA park, mmmmm.....yes I know. After chasing the ball for a while I wanted to cool my paws off in The Loire, the girls were screaming for me to come back as I sank in the mud up to my chest. I managed to get about 100 metres through it but never made the river, I got back safe and sound though.

All Together Now :-)
Friday morning we collected Sarah and Stephen from the airport, I haven't seen her for nearly 3 months but managed to control my bladder (just) when I saw her. We tootled around a bit in the motokennel then picked Amy up from work. It was then a visit to the vets for my pre channel crossing injection :-/ A great night followed at Amy & Yann's.

Return to Nantes
After a few nights away in lovely weather we are presently on an industrial estate in Nantes. Two new tyres required on the motokennel, so whilst we wait, Rachel has disappeared into a shopping centre. Here you see me being the world's most patient dog awaiting her arrival through the magical moving people dispenser.
The Three Muscadets
We've stayed on about 30 aires on this trip and visited about 50, Bri has driven us to some of the nicest car parks in Europe ;-). It's a bit like munroe bagging but for the less athletic. I think we can be classed as 'aire heads' now :-)
